  Far from the noisy and busy centre of the major city in Auvergne, and yet only minutes away from it, you will find at the Convent, in the quaint and typical village of Monton, comfort, conviviality, assistance and advice with the organization of your stay.

Architectural design based on an interplay between simple and sober lines and light.

Will to preserve all the ornamental elements : columns, capitals, stained glass windows.

Space open so as to admit the light through the stained glass windows, thus offering a large and luminous living area while keeping the softness of the colourful reflections.

A large and agreeable white lounge-dining area on the ground floor lighted by stained glass windows. It is the former chapel.

A comfortable lounge on a mezzanine from where the perspective on the chapel allows the eye to embrace the windows and the architecture.

From the mezzanine a staircase leads to the bedrooms. From this open space you can look upon the whole interior of the building, the village nesting underneath, and the limitless plain beyond.

The mezzanine lounge has a multimedia corner with television set, VCR, DVD and a reading corner with bookshelves.

You will enjoy your stay at the Convent for its hospitable simplicity and the relaxed pace of life. The thickness of its walls makes it an extremely quiet and silent place to rest. Between light and silence, the Convent is a place which inclines to meditation and relaxation; it is protected from the noise of traffic and thanks to its location at the top of the hill from pollution. The view offers a wide panorama and changeable skies.

There are five bedrooms with a particular feeling to each : a room evocative of romanticism with its white counterpane and canopy, a Japanese room in the purest feng Shui style, a room “out of Africa”...

Every piece of furniture was carefully chosen, brought back from journeys to Asia or Africa, or hunted for at flea-markets, or bought from decoration stores to suit the atmosphere to be created. The furniture is a mix of contemporary, antique and ethnic.
